Celebrating Summer Solstice and all things green and growing!
Summer Solstice arrives at 9:32 pm MDT tonight, June 20, 2021 in the northern hemisphere, when the Sun shifts into Cancer. A cardinal water sign that’s ruled by the Moon, Cancer represents nourishment, growth, family, sensitivity, security and home.
The season to remember our roots and connect to our innermost selves and our families, however we define that, is upon us. It’s time to nourish life and growth, spend time outside with our hands in the soil and feet upon the earth. It’s time to celebrate the spirit of life!
The Summer Solstice Sun forms a flowing current of energy to the Moon in Scorpio and Jupiter in Pisces, which just went retrograde today, inviting us into the higher realms of wisdom, understanding and truth by way of our hearts.
At the same time, the Moon in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus forming a grand fixed square to Mars in Leo and Saturn in Aquarius. This challenging aspect holds the opportunity for us to evaluate what shapes our experience and discern whether or not it serves our path of evolution. Fixed aspects are receptive and attractive, but some of what we draw in may be inherited or part of someone else’s story, and out of alignment with our happiness.
Do our thoughts create happiness? Do our words inspire? At the end of the day, do we find ourselves in the space of gratitude? If not, this is the perfect time to make subtle internal changes that have great impact.
Everything in the sign of Cancer, or in aspect to it grows…here’s to cultivating joy this summer!
