The Autumnal Equinox in the northern hemisphere brings a fresh wave of energy to support us in finding balance amidst extremes. It ushers in a season of transition where deep inner work is required in order for growth to occur for each of us and the collective.
As the Sun moves into Libra on September 22, 2025 at 12:20 pm MDT, it forms a cooperative trine aspect to Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius. Together, these Air signs usher in opportunities to help us tap into fresh ideas, speak in new terms, transform the way we experience personal and shared power, and collaborate in innovative ways that serve the whole.
An opposition from the Sun to retrograde Neptune in Aries and retrograde Saturn in Pisces assists us in letting go of what is no longer serving our highest visions. Neptune has to do with dreams, oneness, compassion, forgiveness, unity, and what is unconscious or hidden. Meanwhile, Saturn has to do with reality, structure, boundaries, and discipline. When these two joined forces In Aries earlier this Spring, they invited us to make our dreams real.
Retrograde Neptune will dip back into Pisces on October 23rd and remain in that sign until late January 2026 when it will shift back into Aries. Retrograde Saturn will remain in Pisces from now until mid-February 2026 when it will shift back into Aries. This retrograde partnership calls for us to review if we’ve fully released what needs to go so that our new dreams may take shape.
To that end, this Autumn is a perfect time to check in and see if we’re on track. Are there areas or people in our lives that need our attention, time, grace, or compassion? Do we need to forgive ourselves or others for anything? Are there lingering fears, resentments, or judgments that are weighing us down? Can we imagine the potential sense of peace and light that we may claim by surrendering those burdens?
These questions may feel like big asks right now, yet here we are – on the precipice of a profound and unprecedented shift of consciousness. We truly are in this together, and while we’re creating our individual experiences, we’re also co-creating our world.
Are increasing levels of volatility and uncertainty in the world impacting us? Undoubtedly. Are there also moments of kindness and beauty that take our breath away, move our hearts to tears, and render us speechless? Absolutely.
Libra, more than any other sign, is about balance and harmony. Along with Taurus, it’s ruled by Venus, the planet that radiates Divine Unconditional Love. If we’re to foster change in our lives and on our planet, let’s start here. Let’s build a foundation of love that exceeds anything we’ve known so far.
Let’s allow love to be what gives our days meaning, and let’s have it ripple outward to all those we touch – in real time, in our dreams, and in the energetic cosmic field that connects us all.
