As the New Moon in Pisces begins to stir our dreams this evening, March 18, 2026 at 7:23 pm MDT, and the Spring Equinox in the northern hemisphere prepares to bless us on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 8:46 am MDT, it’s a perfect time to consider what we are wanting to enliven.
What have we gestated since last Winter Solstice that is calling for our attention and our energy? What can we breathe our life-force into that up until now has been dormant? In the midst of massive shifts around the world, it may feel easier to withdraw and retreat into what feels safe or at least familiar. I know this has been true for myself and others in my community.
In any given year, something about springtime stirs a natural awakening in us. This year, more than any other since I embraced the study of astrology, that stirring is amplified. We don’t have to look for very long online to come across information about the Saturn/Neptune conjunction in Aries. They joined forces in fiery Aries last month for the first time in over 6000 years, and together they conspire to help us make our dreams real. We can also find abundant information on the Lunar Year of the Fire Horse that we embarked on last month, and/or the way that many of our planets are moving from the feminine signs of earth and water into the masculine ones of fire and air this year.

Saturn is a personal planet that helps us structure our lives – it involves engaging discipline to achieve our tangible goals and build the foundations of our lives. It rules the resourceful, leadership-oriented sign of Capricorn. Even its physical nature of rings around its body highlights the importance of creating strong boundaries. In Aries, Saturn’s action-oriented energy is heightened. Aries has to do with our identity. It brings confidence, determination and courage into play, while at the same time makes us crave new paths. Aries’ ruler is Mars, and its keywords are I AM, so a strong warrior signature underscores potential demonstrations of ego or bravado. Without careful attention, Aries also often leans into impulsiveness.
Saturn’s structured, goal-oriented energy is vastly different than that of Neptune. As one of the outermost transpersonal planets, Neptune activates our imaginative, creative, compassionate, and intuitive nature. It rules the sign of Pisces and the mystery of the unknown or unseen, encouraging oneness, unity, surrender, and forgiveness. Its energy signature is poetic, dreamy, receptive, psychic, and empathic. It dissolves what no longer serves the whole and asks us, more than anything, to trust. In Aries, Neptune infuses us with the energy to master survival – not for ourselves alone – but for the collective.
When considered together, this partnership of Saturn and Neptune in Aries domain and season of new beginnings gives us the rare opportunity to create a new, more unified world where all of us are honored, respected, and served. As challenging as this may seem as old structures dissolve around us, breathing life into that which brings us joy and peace is the perfect foundation on which to build this new world.

Here’s to seeking and rediscovering what makes our hearts smile and know peace this Spring.
Here’s to cultivating new ways to share our inner spark with others – via simple acts of kindness in small circles or grand gestures on larger stages.
Here’s to letting go of limitations that no longer serve our highest visions and trusting that we’ll be supported on our way, even – and especially – when the paths forward are not yet clear.
With great trust and blessings for all relations,
Always love.
